Tom Vacala began his construction career nearly 4 decades ago as an ambitious young bricklayer with the goal of building a career in the masonry industry and has not looked back since. Over the years Tom forged an expansive career as a brick mason holding nearly every position on his way to the top. Since the beginning of his career Tom has had his sights set on management. Upon entering the business, Tom worked his way up through the ranks eventually earning the title of Vice President of Operations with a company called Restore Masonry located in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to accepting the position as VPO, Tom served for many years as a General Project Manager for Restore. During that time Tom was responsible for supervising job progress, acquiring materials, mobilizing equipment, managing crews, and developing job schedules. All while continuing to monitor the bottom line and track the project’s overall success. Thanks to his time spent as a PM, once Tom stepped into his role as VPO, striving for innovation and success had become second nature. His ability to remain ahead of the curve using new construction technologies and services has served him well over the course of his nearly 40-year career in the masonry industry.
With each new construction project, Tom continues to strive for improvement and strengthen his ability to manage projects for the next generation of owners, architects, and general contractors alike. Tom is currently responsible for managing over 100 employees and oversees roughly $10 to $30 million in construction projects annually
